5. Wrapping up a busy day for Spinefarm, they've announced the signing of Charcoal Tongue.

With new tours and videos released, perhaps the most significant announcement from Spinefarm Records today is the signing of Charcoal Tongue.

The Texas band formed in 2015 after vocalist Chris Mora's suicide attempt, and their upcoming, yet to be named debut will likely reflect a lot on that depression.

“The whole year I spent writing… took me through a lot of different emotions, since I was coming off that experience,”  Mora said. “'Fix Me' is one of the darker songs on the record. We felt like this track displays a lot of the key elements that make up the Charcoal Tongue sound.”

The band worked with producer Josh Schroeder on the forthcoming record, and their first song debut is titled, “Fix Me,” as mentioned by More above. Give it a listen here.

6. GWAR and Dynamite Entertainment have unveiled their new comic book—GWAR: ORGASMAGEDDON!

After launching a crowd-funding campaign a year ago, GWAR has successfully produced it's upcoming series with Dynamite Entertainment.

The first issue will make its way out in June, and you can see two versions of the cover below, along with the official announcement video. It will also be available on digital platforms.

GWAR: Orgasmageddon promises to be a gorey, blood-filled adventure that pays tribute to the likes of heavy metal and grindhouse movies.

“It's awesome to have a comic coming out!” says Matt Maguire, better known in the band lineup as Sawborg Destructo. “When Matt Miner and I first talked, everything clicked and I knew we were going to do a cool project. We can't wait to show all of the amazing work that is being generated for this comic! With Dynamite in our corner, it's gonna be a big book!”

Dynamite CEO and Published Nick Barrucci commented further: “Anyone who is familiar with GWAR's theatrical performances, and over their thirty-year history will agree that it is hard to think of a band better suited to the comic book page. It seems only fitting that these masters of gore find their published home alongside the comic book adventures of the original shock rockers, KISS!”

You can preorder the comic here! How stoked are you to hear that GWAR is officially releasing their comic series!? Let us know in the comments.

7. And finally today, PWR BTTM have graced us with a new music video for “Answer My Text!”

After recently releasing the song as a single with a lyric video, PWR BTTM have now put a full video out for “Answer My Text.”

The tune that's easily relevant for any young person puts together a great visual of just what it feels like to be waiting by your phone for that certain someone.

PWR BTTM will release their forthcoming LP, Pageant, on May 12 through Big Scary Monsters. They're also touring a ton this year, so check out all their stope under the video!
