The Gaslight Anthem announce summer tour with Joyce Manor

The Gaslight Anthem just announced a huge summer tour across North America in support of last year’s comeback album, History Books. Joyce Manor will open, along with the Dirty Nil and Pinkshift on select dates.

Additionally, the band unveiled that their new EP, HISTORY BOOKS – SHORT STORIES, will arrive this Friday. The release includes a cover of Billie Eilish’s 2016 cut “Ocean Eyes,” a reworked “Blue Jeans & White T-Shirts,” and acoustic versions of “Positive Charge” and the title track from History Books.

“I was driving my daughter to school, and she played it for me on the way, and I really took to the song,” Brian Fallon says of the Eilish cover. “Then one day we were talking ideas for a cover with our friends, and I said, ‘Wouldn’t it be cool to do a heavier version of ‘Ocean Eyes’’? I tried it out, and everybody loved the idea.”

Tickets go on sale Friday (March 22) at 10 a.m. local time, and presales begin Wednesday (March 20) at 10 a.m. You can see the full list of dates below.
