The Cure announce 2023 North American tour, their first run in seven years

Despite making appearances at festivals in the past few years, the Cure haven’t properly toured North America since 2016. That’s all set to change this year, as the band have announced a 2023 North American tour.

The run kicks off May 10 in New Orleans, with the goth-rock band making stops in Houston, Seattle, Cleveland, and several other cities. They’ll also play three nights at both the Hollywood Bowl and Madison Square Garden before concluding the tour July 1 in Miami. The Twilight Sad, a rock band from Scotland, are set to open every show.

Despite being inactive on the touring circuit, vocalist Robert Smith has been open to collaboration over the years. In 2021, CHVRCHES enlisted the iconic frontman for “How Not To Drown,” off their latest album Screen Violence. Smith also joined Gorillaz on the Song Machine single “Strange Timez” in 2020.

Fans can also register tickets through Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan Sale — the band’s attempt to thwart scalpers — here.
