Testament guitarist Alex Skolnick talks about festivals, music technology

In this interview at Carolina Rebellion, Testament guitarist Alex Skolnick talks about new music technology and what it's like to play festivals.

“The music equipment is better now. You hear much clearer,” he says. “It's fun to play the [older] stuff now, because we can play it as precise, and the audience can hear it with precision that wasn't around the first time around.”

When it comes to playing music festivals, Skolnick tells the story of rainclouds once ending a Testament show halfway through the set. He also talks about not getting to see as many bands as he would like, when he's performing at festivals. “Somehow these festivals get pulled off… it's so hectic,” he says. “You never get to see as many of the bands as you would like to see.”
