Steve-O has taken part in various stunts and pranks over the years. Who can forget when he was arrested for lighting fireworks off during a SeaWorld protest?

Now, the daredevil decided to fulfill his latest stunt in Hollywood on Aug. 13. The billboard is located along Cahuenga Boulevard and Yucca Street and featured the star attached to it in several layers of black duct-tape. The tape covered his body from his torso down to his thighs. Although he was both shirtless and barefoot, he was still able to take selfies and post on Instagram during the stunt. As well, a livestream started shortly after the stunt began.

The entire stunt was to promote his new comedy special Gnarly which is available to stream on his website for those who are over 18.

“I’m attached to a billboard right now (swipe to see the whole thing) and want to emphasize that a team of real professionals rigged everything safely. There is zero chance of me falling, and it’s important to me that we not waste any valuable city resources on this. I’m happy to just hang out, and really want the world to know about this project I worked so hard on. It’s called Gnarly and, If you’re over 18, check it out at steveo.com! Thanks!”

Steve-O further shares on his Instagram story that his latest stunt was completely safe. As well, he spent a few hours duct-taped to the billboard before being helped down by firefighters. Since Steve-O purchased the billboard, law enforcement said he wasn’t committing any crimes.

“I’ve been up on this billboard duct-taped for an hour and a half now, a little more,” he says in the video. “Starting to get kind of sore, there are some cops over there, but they’re not sure I’m committing any crimes. I don’t think so, I paid for the billboard, man. I assured everyone this has been professionally rigged. It’s safe so hopefully no one gets too upset.”

Along with his new comedy special, Steve-O is also set to star in the upcoming Jackass 4. The highly-awaited film starring Johnny Knoxville and company was originally set to hit theaters in March 2021. However, due to coronavirus, its theatrical release has been pushed back to Sept. 3, 2021.

Many fans flocked to social media to share their reactions about Steve-O’s latest stunt.
