Here’s how you can own the May Queen flower dress from ‘Midsommar’

Horror movie fans are going to be stoked as the opportunity to own the flower dress and other props from Midsommar are being auctioned off for a good cause.

New York has been hit extremely hard by the coronavirus pandemic and now, New York-based company A24 is auctioning off items from several of their films to donate funds to four charities.

The company offered a statement explaining their reasoning as well as outlining the charities which you can read below.

As a company founded and based in NYC, A24 wants to give back to the city as it weathers this crisis and begins to rebuild. 100% of each auction’s proceeds will be donated to one of four charities helping NYC’s hardest-hit communities and frontline workers: FDNY Foundation; Food Bank For NYC; NYC Health + Hospitals; and Queens Community House.”

On top of items from Midsommar, they’ll also be auctioning props from HereditaryThe LighthouseEighth Grade, Euphoria and Mid 90s.

First, they’ll be auctioning props from Eighth GradeEuphoriaMid 90s and Hereditary starting today (April 22) at 12 PM ET.

The Midsommar auction will be featuring ten items in total. That auction is happening on April 27 at 12 PM EDT and includes the flower dress, a Hårga mallet and the headpiece from the bear costume among other things.

“The Hårga have an infamously rich cultural history, full of tradition, symbolism, and ritual sacrifice. Simply put, they never miss the chance to dress for an occasion. For the first time outside Hälsingland, you, too, can own a piece of Hårgan history—including the original 10,000-silk-flower May Queen gown from Midsommar’s fiery finale,” the company writes.

They’ll also be doing their The Lighthouse auction on May 11.
