‘Mean Girls’ actor featured in Ariana’s Grande’s music video “thank u, next”

Ariana Grande has released yet another teaser for her forthcoming music video for her single, “thank u, next.” This time, Grande is keeping with the Mean Girls theme by inviting one of the film’s iconic heartthrobs onto the set.

Grande took to Instagram to share one of the stars in her upcoming music video. The guest is none other than Jonathan Bennett, who Regina George’s ex, or Cady Heron’s love interest in the flick.

To make things even better, the power couple bantered back and forth with some Mean Girls references on Bennett’s Instagram post.

“That’s CRAZY……why would I break up with u?” Grande says in the comments of the photo. “Ur so hot.”

“So you agree??” Bennet responds. “You think I’m really hot?”

The music video also seems to take inspiration from 13 Going On 30 and Legally Blonde.

With that being said, Grande shared another photo on Instagram of her with Legally Blonde star Jennifer Coolidge. Coolidge plays the film’s unforgettable scorned and single beautician, Paulette.

Earlier this week, Ariana Grande began teasing fans with behind-the-scenes images from the “thank u, next” video set. From the Burn Book-like single art to her social media posts, all signs pointed to Mean Girls being the main inspiration.

Grande first posted an image of her hiding behind her own version of the Burn Book, emblazoned with her single’s title.
