Mac Miller alleged drug supplier files not guilty plea

Following the charges laid against three men arrested in the investigation of the death of Mac Miller, the alleged supplier of the drugs Miller overdosed on has filed a not guilty claim.

According to the Associated Press, Cameron Pettit, Stephen Walter, and Ryan Reavis have been charged with conspiring and distributing the drugs. Reavis is now claiming he is not guilty.

Miller passed away at the age of 26 from an accidental overdose of fentanyl, cocaine and alcohol.

Pettit was investigated for initially selling the pills, Reavis for supplying them and Walter for participating in the trafficking ring. There are more suspects being investigated at the moment but no further details.

Now, Reavis has appeared before a judge and entered a not guilty plea. The 36-year old supplier was arrested for possession of prescription pad, prescription-only pills, drug paraphernalia, marijuana, weapons and more.

Reavis will serve additional prison time after entering his plea as he will now be arguing for his innocence. His final outcome could also land him extra time after entering his plea instead of taking a guilty verdict.

Pettit is set to appear before the court on November 26. He’s currently in prison without bail and is considered a flight risk due to stating he wants to leave the U.S. and start a new life.

Walter is still awaiting an arraignment date.

Following the news of Mac Miller’s death on Sept 7, 2018, his family released a statement confirming his passing while asking for privacy as details develop.

In November 2018, Miller’s cause of death was ruled an accidental overdose, according to a toxicology report issued by the L.A. County Coroner’s Office.

Miller had released his fifth LP Swimming in early August 2018. A posthumous track called “The Sun Room” came to light in July 2019. His final live performance was Sept. 3, 2018 at The Hotel Café in Los Angeles.
