Louder Than Life 2018 canceled due to "unsafe conditions"
This year’s Louder Than Life festival has been canceled due to “unsafe conditions.”

Louder Than Life was set to take place Sept. 28, 29 and 30, 2018 but needed to be canceled due to rain and flooding at the festival site.
Avenged Sevenfold, Underoath, Deftones and Limp Bizkit were among the bands scheduled to play in Louisville, Kentucky this weekend.
“It is with deep regret that we inform you that this weekend’s Louder Than Life festival has been canceled due to unsafe conditions resulting from ongoing rain and flooding at the festival site—Champions Park,” read a statement shared on Twitter.
A longer statement on Louder Than Life’s website detailed the decision.
“After carefully inspecting the grounds and infrastructure this evening, the City and we have determined that it is no longer possible to make the festival site safe in time for this weekend,” it reads.

The statement explains the organization tried to move the festival to locations, but it was not logistically possible. Plus, the bad weather diminished the venue options.
“The one thing we will never sacrifice is the safety of our fans, bands, staff and patrons,” the statement continues. “We will be back next year even bigger and better, and look forward to continuing our relationship with our incredible fans and this great city.”
