Watch Lil Peep’s bracing new “16 Lines” music video

After being teased yesterday on social media, a new music video from late rapper Lil Peep has appeared online, and it’s for the unapologetic Come Over When You’re Sober, Pt. 2 jam “16 Lines.” Below, see the wistful clip for the lumbering bop.

Lil Peep tragically died from an overdose at the age of 21 in 2017. “16 Lines” follows previous posthumous COWYS2 singles such as “Life Is Beautiful,” “Cry Alone” and the artist’s haunting collaboration with XXXTentacion, “Falling Down.”

And, despite the rapper’s passing, he had quite the catalog of unreleased songs. Due to this, his longtime producer Smokeasac has been able to slowly release them to his fans, letting Lil Peep’s recorded legacy exist for future generations.

“There’s material for sure,” Smokeasac told the NME. “I have a decent amount of songs with him and then he has music with other producers like Harry Fraud, Diplo, and then there’s an album with iLoveMakonnen. I’m glad to be a part of that.”

And while Smokeasac has shut down rumors of a potential Come Over When You’re Sober, Pt. 3, Peep also teamed up with DJ Marshmello on the song “Spotlight” before his death. A music video, released later, honored the late rapper.

“Peep brought an excitement to music that was unparalleled to anybody I’ve ever met,” Marshmello said of their collaboration.

“We started an idea together, that unfortunately we were never able to officially finish together. When I listen to this track now I get chills wishing he could hear it. This record is dedicated to Peep’s mother, family, friends and his fans. Gus will live forever through his music and that is something we should all be extremely thankful for.”
