It looks like Forever The Sickest Kids could be making a comeback

On June 18, Alternative Press ran a feature about the ten neon-pop bands that need to make a comeback. Hey Monday, Forever The Sickest Kids, Cobra Starship and The Friday Night Boys were just a few of the bands to be featured on the list.

Now, it appears that Forever The Sickest Kids have confirmed that fans could be hearing new music from them soon. Both the band and vocalist Jonathan Cook shared the AP story on social media to confirm the news.

Fans of neon-pop will remember Forever The Sickest Kids’ 2008 debut album Underdog Alma Mater. After signing to Fearless Records and releasing their third album J.A.C.K. in 2013, the band performed on Warped Tour before announcing a hiatus. Since then, they have been keeping relatively quiet. The band reunited to perform at SXSW and So What?! Music Fest in 2017 and played a few shows on 2019’s Sad Summer Festival.

Now, it seems that new music from Forever The Sickest Kids could be on its way soon. Back in April and May, the band shared some content of them in the studio.

The band also went live on Facebook in April. The video shows guitarist Caleb Turman and Cook listening to “Believe Me, I’m Lying” and talking about FTSK’s debut album.

Following the release of AP‘s neon-pop feature on June 18, both Cook and the band shared on Facebook that they are currently working on a new project.

The FTSK vocalist took to his personal Facebook to give details surrounding what’s in store for the band.

“We may not quite look like this anymore and the odds are pretty bad that we ever will,” Cook says. “But the odds are darn good that WE, Forever The Sickest Kids, will be back active #StayTunedUnderdogs.”

“Thank you Alternative Press,” the band share on their Facebook page. “Watch out very soon!”

At this time, no further information about Forever The Sickest Kids’ new music has been shared.

Over the years, Forever The Sickest Kids have hit the road touring with the likes of Anarbor, We the Kings and All Time Low. Their latest full-length J.A.C.K. was released in 2013. Back in 2009, the band teamed up with Selena Gomez for a remix of their song “Woah Oh! (Me vs. Everyone).”

For some nostalgia, the “She’s A Lady” music video is available to stream below.
