Hear EKKSTACY’s fuzzy new single “chicago”

Rising Vancouver punk EKKSTACY is preparing to share his new self-titled album next week, and today he’s back with another single called “chicago.”

The upcoming record takes influence from My Bloody Valentine, Ramones, and the Strokes, and you can hear that in the riffy new song, which follows previous releases like “problems” featuring Trippie Redd, “shutting me out,” and “goo lagoon.” The track also comes with a lyric video, showing clips from his rowdy live shows and life in the studio.

EKKSTACY recorded the new album with longtime collaborators Mangetsu and Apob over the past two years, and it was mixed by Chris Coady, who also worked on his 2022 LP misery. Following its release, EKKSTACY will go on the road with Alex Sucks across North America and Europe, launching Feb. 18 in Toronto. Grab tickets here.
