COIN announce first-ever U.S. headlining tour and other news you might have missed today

1. Creeper released a stripped rendition of their track “Misery.” Check it out below!

The song comes from the band’s EP The Stranger, and it will also appear on their new album Eternity, In Your Arms, which is set for a March 24 release.

2. COIN announced their first-ever U.S. headlining tour.

Tickets go on sale Friday, Feb. 17 at 10 a.m. local time.

3. Hard rock/heavy metal band Edge Of Paradise have released the music video for their track “Alive,” the title track from their forthcoming EP, set for a March 10 release. Check it out below!

“Alive is dealing with us humans being so caught up in the digital world, obsessed with convenience and monetary gain, we have begun to sacrifice our humanity,” frontwoman Margarita Monet tells Metal Underground. “We are becoming corporate led consumer machines! We get lost in the enticing virtual reality that we forget what real human interaction feels like. Sometimes I want to break away from bombardment of advertisements, social standards, never ending race with time and just breathe, and remember what it's like to feel alive!”

4. Utah-based scrap metal band Charlatan announced their forthcoming album Remarkable, along with a video for the band’s lead single, “The Sick Nasty.” Check it out below!

The band’s album is set for an Apr. 7 release via Revival Recordings and is available for preoder here. “We like to think of each of our songs as the start of a conversation, usually conversations built on navigating very real and sensitive issues,” vocalist Grey Sorenson tells Already Heard.

5. Descendents announced a North American headlining tour this spring in support of their new album Hypercaffium Spazzinate. Check out the full list of cities and dates below!

The bands album, Hypercaffium Spazzinate, was released July 29, 2016 via Epitaph. Tickets go on sale Friday, February 17 at 10am local venue time here.

6. London-based rock quintet Counterfeit. announced the band’s debut album, Together We Are Stronger, set for a March 17 release.

The band have premiered their first full single “For The Thrill Of It,” on Dan P. Carter’s BBC Radio 1 Rock Show last week. Give it a listen, and check out the track listing, below!

7. Joey Sturgis Tones (All Shall Perish, Born Of Osiris, Chelsea Grin) announced the latest addition to the Toneforge line of plugins, Toneforge Jason Richardson.

This plugin offers three new amp designs, two custom cabinets, three effect pedals, and a complete post-processing section. All aspects of Toneforge Jason Richardson are derived from the tones created on Richardson’s debut solo album, I.
