Our favorite horror movies wouldn’t be the same without the iconic villains that freak us out. And with some careful research, we’ve found a terrifying way to describe anyone’s personality using the stars—by figuring out which villain matches each sign.

Aries (March 21 – April 19) — Chucky (Child’s Play)
Chucky is known for being a hot head and making a scene. He’s relentless when hunting his victims, which exemplifies his energetic and assertive energy to get what he wants. He tends to say what’s on his mind, no matter what it is, so he’s a true Aries for sticking by his word, even if it might be wrong.
Taurus (April 20 – May 20) — Jennifer Check (Jennifer’s Body)
Tauruses are the seductive ones in the zodiac, and seducing her victims is Jennifer’s whole deal. She uses her popularity and looks to lure people in, before brutally murdering them. Not to mention this sign can be materialistic and self-indulgent, both important traits of Jennifer’s brand.
Gemini (May 21 – June 20) — Jack Torrance (The Shining)
Jack has two sides—caring father and psychotic killer—and, as expected, struggles to find the right balance in between the two. Geminis sometimes find it difficult to figure out who they really are. Also, this sign is extremely enthusiastic about what they’re doing, and that passion, even though it’s for murder, can be seen in the infamous “Here’s Johnny!” scene in the film.

Cancer (June 21 – July 22) — Leatherface (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre)
Leatherface is a family man, like a true Cancer. He just wants to make sure his family eats, and he will do anything to make sure they are well-fed, even if it means hunting down innocent victims and barbecuing their meat. Cancers are also known for being a bit spontaneous, which is a nice way to classify Leatherface’s murder style.
Leo (July 23 – Aug. 22) — Pennywise (It)
Pennywise is all about the show—the clown costume, the makeup and the drama of only coming out every 27 years to dine on children. He’s been referred to as more of a monster than a man, and he even resembles a lion with his mane.
Virgo (Aug. 23 – Sept. 22) — Samara Morgan (The Ring)
Samara wants her revenge, and any Virgo knows they are rarely afraid to get it. They may not be the most outspoken sign, but they are tactical and can be patient in their approach, almost like they wouldn’t mind waiting seven days to kill someone.

Libra (Sept. 23 – Oct. 22) — Hannibal Lecter (The Silence Of The Lambs)
Libras are known for their diplomacy and ability to stay level-headed in stressful situations. This description might not first come to mind when thinking about serial-killer cannibal Hannibal Lecter, but bear with us. He’s able to keep his composure and talk his way into things. He cares about the finer things in life and having good manners, which is why he can fall into the category of being superficial like a Libra.
Scorpio (Oct. 23 – Nov. 21) — Freddy Krueger (A Nightmare On Elm Street)
Freddy Krueger is a psychological Scorpio. He literally kills people through their dreams using his tactical skills. Scorpios can be resentful and manipulative, so it only makes sense that this sign aligns with the iconic villain who stands apart from the rest with his murder style.
Sagittarius (Nov. 22 – Dec. 21) — Ghostface (Scream)
Sagittarius is a complex sign known for being adventurous, animated and a little brutal. They are also a fairly flirty sign, which fits Ghostface pretty well. He’s able to charm his victims without saying a single word, and his spirited nature makes him seem like a typical Sag, if there can be such a thing.

Capricorn — (Dec. 22 – Jan. 19) Patrick Bateman (American Psycho)
Capricorns have huge work ethics, high standards and tend to be self-centered, much like Patrick Bateman. He loves to brag about how he works hard to have a luxurious life, which ends up being his downfall because he’s motivated by people who he feels threatened by. He loves having control, typical of bossy Capricorns, so he exerts that in every aspect of his life—from his grooming routine to killing innocent victims.
Aquarius (Jan. 20 – Feb. 18) — Michael Myers (Halloween)
Michael Myers has a superhuman presence that makes him command the attention of any room. If you are or you know an Aquarius, this should sound pretty familiar. The unkillable villain works independently and strategically, so he is a perfect fit for this air sign.
Pisces (Feb. 19 – March 20) — Norman Bates (Psycho)
Although Pisces are known for going with the flow, they can also be extremely emotional at times, much like Norman Bates. He has a difficult time dealing with his emotions, which leads to his murderous activity. He does adapt easily to his surroundings, such as wearing the clothes of his victims.
