Avril Lavigne reimagines Adele’s “Hello” for Spotify Singles

Avril Lavigne has shared a cover of Adele‘s “Hello” as part of Spotify Singles. She also re-released her song “Love Sux.”

The reimagined track is a stripped-down, acoustic version of her 2022 release.

Lavigne’s “Hello” cover maintains the deep piano and thoughtful air of the original. Over time, Lavigne’s influence becomes more clear as her vocals become sharper and the empty space once present in the track is filled by a steady electric guitar and thundering drums.

Lavigne spoke on the opportunity to cover Adele’s track in a press release.

“I love Adele’s song ‘Hello’ and have been dying to do a cover of it. The Spotify Singles sessions were a fun opportunity to finally do this cover as well as reimagine my own song ‘Love Sux’ as an acoustic version.”
