U.S. Army Command Post issues memo banning “terrible rock groups,” including Nickelback

Nickelback just can’t catch a break. Last December, a police department in Canada threatened to force offenders to listen to Canada's own Nickelback if they got picked up for drinking and driving.

This time around, it looks like an army command post has issued a memo saying the Canadian band, along with Korn, Slipknot, Smash Mouth and Creed, will “no longer be allowed to be played in the CP.”

Even more, this ban on the playing of “terrible rock groups” is supposedly for all hours of the day—not just work hours.

Although it has not been confirmed whether it is a legit order or not, U.S Army W.T.F! Moments spokesman Mike Trysom told The Huffington Post the memo is real, but “the sentiment may be tongue-in-cheek.”

“[The term] ‘Real’ depends on your outlook,” Trysom told the news outlet. “Do we really think this commander signed that memo as a lawful order? No, not at all. It was likely a joke or a prank he played on one of the platoons under his command. The memo is valid and in the right format… some of our commenters are not as smart as they think they are.”

Of course, fans have had their response to the supposed ban these bands.
