Saint Cloud (ex-Avion Roe) struggle to let go in new “My Goddess” track
While Avion Roe fans may still be mourning the band’s hiatus that was announced this past June, former members Evan Couture and Jordan Modro are proving that Saint Cloud are ready to dominate in the pop realm.
Saint Cloud have teamed up with AltPress to exclusively premiere their new track, “My Goddess.”

“The central theme [of ‘My Goddess’] is just trying to let go,” the group says. “Throughout the song, there’s a constant struggle of holding on and giving up and looking for reasons to do either. There’s a special rhythm in what really is a depressing vibe, musically. But the two come together so well and create a somehow rather energetic song. Overall, the song was different waters for us, but for some reason, it never seemed difficult to write. We did a little in-studio performance not too long ago. We’ll be releasing that soon, too.”

Saint Cloud “My Goddess” lyrics
I’m sick of the lull, I don’t wanna love you
I feel like I’m done, I just wanna run baby I want to
I fade away without a sound yeah
But if you love me, I’ll be down yeah
I shouldn’t need it, but I love the way I sound yeah
Fall on my face
All of the ways
People falling now, I’m in a better place
Like a new generation
I got a big imagination
You and I know how to make a mess
Yeah but you were my goddess
Like a new generation
I got a big imagination
You and I know how to make a mess
Yeah but you were my goddess
Yeah but you were my goddess
I don’t wanna call, I don’t wanna trust you
I’m needing the rush and missing your touch
I wish you would come through
You know your name’s my favorite sound yeah
You wouldn’t love when I’m down yeah
I shouldn’t need it when you really got me drowning
Fall on my face
Running away
Had to let it go, now I’m in a better place
Like a new generation
I got a big imagination
You and I know how to make a mess
Yeah but you were my goddess
Like a new generation
I got a big imagination
You and I know how to make a mess
Yeah but you were my goddess
Yeah but you were my goddess
You were mine
Baby you were mine
You were mine
Yeah but you were my goddess
Yeah but you were my goddess
I feel like I’m done, I just wanna run baby I want to
Yeah but you were my goddess
I fade away without a sound yeah
Yeah but you were my goddess
Yeah but you were my goddess
