More on Queens Of The Stone Age
Back in the summer, QOTSA frontman Josh Homme and Jack White reunited for an amazing chat.
White made an appearance on Homme’s The Alligator Hour where they discussed the influence of the media, the blessing and curse of technology, Andy Warhol and more.
The two discussed at length how the media and Western society’s “mob mentality” have impacted them as artists.
“Individuality is the greatest gift Western civilization has given us and the mob is a slow stupid thing. If you want to join the mob you have give away your individuality to do so and you’re at the mercy of their message,” says Homme. “If you have individual thoughts or disagree they decry you as a bit of a heretic. Technology unites these strange mobs and I know you avoid certain kinds of technology.”
If you want to hear the entire chat, make sure to check it out here.
