From First To Last sell merch to commemorate iconic reunion show

Last month, From First To Last fulfilled our emo dreams at their first show in two years, which took place at an Emo Nite LA event in New Orleans.

Now, the band is commemorate that historic performance by selling merch to anyone who wants it. That even goes for those of us who weren’t at the show.

The band posted a link to the merch, which includes tee shirts and a sweatshirt. The prices range from $25 to $35. The caption read, “COULDNT MAKE IT TO NOLA, BUT YOU WATCHED ALL THE POPULACE VIDEOS ONLINE AND WANT TO GRAB SOME MERCH TO COMMEMORATE?”

We definitely did watch enough videos of the event to feel like we were at the amazing show.

In case you missed out, the band  announced in February that they’d be playing the “BUKU Late” set. It served as an after party to the New Orleans’ BUKU Music + Art Project.

Before all of that happened though, we have to go back to how the reunion show even happened. Sonny Moore left the band 2007 to eventually pursue a career as Skrillex, returning in 2017 to release “Make War” with FFTL. Moore hit the stage with the act less than a month later at Emo Nite LA, marking the last time the band performed live.

In July 2018, FFTL officially released another song, “Surrender,” seven months after the first teaser. “Surrender” was shared for free after Moore made the announcement via Twitter and leaked the record’s artwork.

Then, they announced the NOLA show, and the lineup included Moore, drummer Derek Bloom, lead guitarist/keyboardist Matt Good and rhythm guitarist/vocalist Travis Richter.

In case you didn’t get a chance to see the amazing set, you can see some videos from the show below.

Note to self, I’ve missed you terribly. Waiting ten years is what I call a tragedy. I remember being 13/14 (gross because that was literally ten years ago why is time like this?) and listening to @fftlast in my room every night while staring at my poster of the four of them standing in a bathtub with electrical wires everywhere. That poster stayed on my wall for years, but it eventually came down.
The love I had for this band stayed in my heart, but it never left. For the second time in 12 years and maybe the last, From First To Last got together to play a show WITH the original lineup, and I got to witness it with the one person in this life who felt the music with me as I listened to it ten years ago @iamhollykay. Sad girl tears everywhere. I have been blessed. #NoteToSelf #IMissYouTerribly #RepublicNOLA #FFTL #FromFirstToLast #SonnyMoore #Skrillex #MattGood #TravisRitcher #DerekBloom #EmoNiteNOLA #EmoNiteLA

In other news, a new study showed that Skrillex’s “Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites” might be used to ward off mosquitos. Sounds strange, but it could be a great repellent alternative.
