'American Satan' teases Andy Biersack's return for TV series

After the announcement that American Satan will be coming to the small screen, many have been hoping to hear of the original cast’s return, and it appears that we may just be getting our wish after all.

American Satan, which stars Black Veil Brides‘ Andy Biersack and Asking Alexandria‘s Ben Bruce, follows rock band the Relentless as they “drop out of college and move to the Sunset Strip to chase their dreams.”

Of course, not everything is as it seems for the young rock band. After meeting a stranger who realizes their potential, the group gets caught in a deal they can’t get out of.

We’re not entirely sure of all the details of the upcoming spin-off, but according to American Satan‘s Twitter, “members of the original cast” are set to continue their roles in the TV show.

It’s unclear as to who will be reprising their roles, but if the picture attached to the tweet means anything, it looks as though Andy Biersack cound be reprising his role as Johnny Faust.

Black discussed the possibility of returning as Faust in his cover story in AP 361.

“I’ve been told that I am [involved in the TV show],” he says with a laugh. “As far as I know, Johnny is still the main character. Unless I get written out and fired.”

“Based on the current strips, I’m in the show, significantly,” he continues. “You never know who I might piss off or get my character killed or written out. I might get recast. Getting recast would suck.”

Further details of the forthcoming TV spin-off are still to come, but the new series is reportedly called Paradise City and it’s set to start recording later this year.

While we (im)patiently wait for further details regarding the series, you can check out a trailer for American Satan below:
