"We wanted to perfect the direction we really wanted to go," says vocalist/multi-instrumentalist Randy Roswell of the band's full-length The Future Belongs To Us. "We were very focused on the production and wanted to make the most elaborate arrangements possible." WHY YOU SHOULD KNOW 'EM: At a time when most bands are focused on songs about dancing and what to wear to dance, Self Made Soul aren't afraid to take on darker, broader themes. "We tend to reach deeper for subject matter than a lot of bands," says Roswell. "We like to dig deeper in the dirt while at the same time trying to inspire more positivity in peoples' lives."
