Sure, you know him as the kid-next-door in Disturbia, but over the next year AARON YOO will be starring in a slew of new flicks, beginning with Rocket Science, an offbeat comedy that, if it hits, should help the promising young actor further expand his collection of Nike Dunks...

Like a few other films you've starred in, Rocket Science is set in high school. What kind of student were you?

To be perfectly honest, I had a very nice system worked out where I didn't have to do any work. [Laughs.] I actually refused to carry around my books. They went into my locker at the beginning of the year and, by the end of the year, I had to find the maintenance person because I had forgotten my combination.

At one point in the film, your best friend joins the debate team solely to get closer to a girl he likes. Did you ever stalk someone?
Oh, I don't think you've been a teenage guy without stalking someone. Especially in high school, you allow yourself these fantasies. But the truth is, there are girls that are attracted to you and then there are girls that are just going to be your friend, and you can't do anything about that. Once you move into one of those places, there's no going back.

In just about every interview, you bring up your love for shoes. Are you a sneakerhead?
Yeah, limited-edition sneakers are great. I have these sneakers that I got in Paris that are one-of-a-kind. They were crazy-expensive, but they're the kind of sneaker where, anytime I wear them and people are like, "Where did you get those?" I can say, "Paris."

When you're not throwing money down on new kicks, what have you been listening to lately?
Oh, I'm all over the place. Lately, I've been listening to Lupe Fiasco, Charlie Hunter and Dexter Gordon. Then the other day I was listening to the Arcade Fire. It's sort of based on mood for me. But mostly I've been listening to a lot of hip-hop and a lot of jazz. -Trevor Kelley

CHEAT SHEET
If you didn't catch him in the short-lived WB drama The Bedford Diaries, then chances are you saw Woo earlier this year in Disturbia. This month he stars in Rocket Science, the latest film from Spellbound mastermind Jeffery Blitz. ALT
