There For Tomorrow - A Little Faster
Alternative Press - Scott Heisel on 6/3/09 @ 7:00 AM - altpress.com

[3.5/5]

There For Tomorrow waste no time making their introductions on their full-length debut. Vocalist Maika Maile proclaims, "You won't find one weak bone in me," in A Little Faster's first song, "The Remedy," and as the disc progresses, his words seem positively prophetic. There are plenty of bands who find success by simply replicating the time-tested methods of groups who came before them, but TFT's ticket to the top will be their musical depth and lyrical honesty. Even when the album threatens to get repetitive around "Backbone" and "Deathbed," Maile's willingness to bare his soul--and occasionally his teeth--carries the tunes through to the end. In the piercing title track, the frontman wails, "You promised me the world," but the irony is that There For Tomorrow don't need anyone to hand them anything--they're perfectly capable of doing it all on their own.
