Instrumental bliss.
Odd Nosdam - Level Live Wires
[4/5] Odd Nosdam (David Madson) is a pretty well-rounded dude. Not only does he make incredibly stimulating records (both solo and with cLOUDDEAD), but he's also a producer, a visual artist and a remixer, reworking tracks by acts like Boards Of Canada, Mike Patton and Múm. It makes perfect sense, then, that his most recent work is a complete sensory overload. Playing out like a score to a film, Level Live Wires leaves you to picture the scenes in your head. While a lot of hip-hop producers use the latest technology, Nosdam sticks to the machines of yesteryear, giving the record a warm and fuzzy analog feel. Like his peers at anticon., Nosdam lays on the effects pretty thick, giving the songs great depth and texture. Wires is the type of disc that takes you on journey-an example of how brilliant instrumental music can be when done right. (ANTICON) Eddie Fleisher Official Website: http://www.anticon.com
