Horace Pinker - Texas One Ten

[2] Horace Pinker have been around since '91, have played over 700 shows, and have certainly paid their dues. They've got cred out the ass-but unfortunately, they don't have any remarkable songs. Texas One Ten is generic and tedious, to the point where it's almost Guitar Center-pro-dude bad. "Here, try this Rise Against vocal affect," someone in the band probably said during recording, or "Big Drill Car had some luck with this. Flip that switch," or "Face To Face whipped Carson Daly into a frenzy with this tone. Give it a shot." When pop-punk was big, these guys cozied up to that. When emo-y songs for 14-year-old girls got big, well, you end up with this. (THICK) Todd Taylor
