Music IP investment company Hipgnosis Songs just acquired 157 songs from Tom Delonge‘s catalog. “All The Small Things” and more blink-182 hits were reportedly acquired on Tuesday.

According to Hipgnosis, this acquisition includes 100% of DeLonge’s copyrights. Hipgnosis Songs have acquired previous catalogs from Jack Antonoff who is a known Taylor Swift contributor and that of the Chainsmokers.

The news was announced on Tuesday, Jan. 7 that Hipgnosis songs acquired 157 songs of Tom Delonge’s catalog. Both parties issues statements regarding the matter.

“The influence of blink-182 on today’s artists is massive,” Merck Mercuriadis, Founder of The Family (Music) Limited and Hipgnosis Songs Fund Limited, said. “If you’re under 27 years old and making music they are a seminal band. They had angst, they had energy, they had humor but most importantly they had incredible songs and Tom is at the core of that. It’s an honour to welcome him into the Hipgnosis Family.”

DeLonge also spoke of the news and how honored he is to partner with Hipgnosis.

“It is an honor to have been playing music for so many years and to be in a position to partner with the great team at Hipgnosis to support my work,” DeLonge says. “This is now a perfect opportunity for me to not only celebrate my past, but to also give me the foundation to create more music for many decades to come.”

Hipgnosis Songs was founded by Merck Mercuriadis in 2017. Mercuriadis was previously a manager for Elton JohnGuns N’ RosesMorrisseyIron Maiden and Beyoncé. Popular songs that Hipgnosis has acquired include “SexyBack” by Justin Timberlake, “Set Fire To The Rain” by Adele, “Single Ladies” by Beyoncé and “The Sweet Escape” by Gwen Stefani just to name a few. The company buys the rights of songs from the writers themselves. All of the above songs come from the catalogs of the credited writers and Hipgnosis now owns 100% of the copyright.
