Many fans were not pleased with the design of the poster and had a lot to say. Many of them actually rmade edits that are completely hilarious. See what they’re saying on Twitter below.

Honestly, they have a point. Even Zendaya, who stars in the film, commented on the posters with an ambiguous tweet.

Spider-Man: Far From Home hits theaters July 5, 2019. It stars Tom Holland as Peter Parker/ Spider-Man. It also stars Laura Harrier, Samuel L. Jackson, Jake Gyllenhaal, Michael Keaton and more.

We also recently got a second Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer that had some serious spoilers. Luckily, Holland gives a warning of that at the beginning.

It was previously reported that the warning would be included because the Marvel film takes place after the events of Endgame, which we know was full of unexpected plot points.

“If you haven’t seen Avengers: Endgame yet, stop watching because there’s some serious spoilers coming up,” Holland said. “But if you have seen Avengers: Endgame, enjoy the trailer.”

For fear of giving anything away, you can watch the trailer at your own risk below.

More Spider-Man news

We’re anxiously awaiting Spider-Man: Far From Home to hit theaters later this summer, but apparently, we already have to wary of spoilers.

This time, the spoilers come from a description on one of the action figures based on the upcoming Marvel film.

Warning: Major Spoilers Ahead

On the back of the action figure for Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal), the description confirms that the character will be the same as his comic book counterpart as he is presented as a superhero from another dimension.

“Mysterio is a master of illusion and a sworn enemy of Spider-Man,” the description reads, confirming the comics.

You can see the photo taken by Imgur user Hellokingg here.

Mysterio has been passing himself off as a hero since 1964’s Amazing Spider-Man #13, so this isn’t exactly a total shock. In that comic, he presented himself as a hero that was enhanced by a special effects artist.

“Mysterio enters the comic as a hero,” director Jon Watts said to press. “So, I always took it right back to the source material and what made that character exciting initially. But in terms of how we ended up with Mysterio in the first place, I mean, I wanted to put a character on screen that we hadn’t seen before.”

“Of the big, iconic villains, Mysterio was the one who jumped to the top. Because of who he is, what he may-or-may-not be able to do, it’s really opened up a lot of possibilities for the kind of story we can tell with him.”

The film recently debuted a new clip featuring Mysterio. In it, the character explains the concept of a multiverse to Peter Parker.

The clip reveals that the MCU is set on Earth-616, a version of real-life Earth, and is the main universe. It apparently contradicts Marvel’s claims that the MCU is set on Earth-199999.
