Weezer confirm December shows, release of branded Snuggie

Scott Heisel on 10/20/09 @ 5:15 PM

With the Nov. 3 release of Raditude looming, Weezer have confirmed a handful of tour dates scheduled for this December, in addition to the New York City and Los Angeles shows previously announced for the end of this month. All dates are below.

In addition, the band have also announced that they will be the musical guest on The Late Show With David Letterman on Oct. 29 and 30; but most importantly, Nov. 3 will also serve as the release date for the long-anticipated Weezer Snuggie, or "Wuggie," as it's affectionately being referred to. There's still no word on what exactly will make the Snuggie a Wuggie, but we'll keep you posted.

10/24 - Los Angeles, CA - Palladium
10/31 - New York, NY - Hammerstein Ballroom
12/1 - Chicago, IL - Aragon Ballroom
12/3 - Milwaukee, WI - Eagles Ballroom
12/5 - Toronto, ON - Air Canada Center
12/7 - Boston, MA - Agganis Arena
12/9 - Baltimore, MD - UMBC Fieldhouse
12/10 - Philadelphia, PA - Susquehanna Center

wow. two things that provide nonsensical marketing. Weezer and Snuggies combined in to one product so consumers can waste money in one place!

A Snuggie with the trademark "=W=" stitched on it?

Attack Attack! vocalist leaves band

Tim Karan on 10/20/09 @ 3:35 PM

Just days before embarking on their headlining tour, Attack Attack! vocalist Nick Barham announced that he's left the band. This isn't the first time that Attack Attack! have had bad timing with vocalist personnel changes. Barham replaced vocalist Austin Carlile in 2008 after the group fired him during the middle of a tour with Maylene And The Sons Of Disaster.

Barham released this statement: "I just wanted to let everyone know what's going on with me right now. Last week i was talking to all the dudes in attack attack and decided that I was going to quit the band. There's no beef between us. It was just time for change. But for right now I'm going to be going out with my brothers band Sleeping with Sirens just to keep busy. So make sure you check them out and try to come say hi. I will be starting something new soon! So keep an eye out for it. Love you guys!"

TDWP_rules

This information does not affect my life.

skarymike44
auto tune is crap so attack attack sucks. plus the old screamer was way better!

zaizariii
wow you guys ^ are horrible, what gives you the right to talk about them like this?

makeorbreak
all these nu-screamo bands just do nothing for me. they all sound the same. i thought it was cool when underoath did it on define the great line, but other than that i think its played out and bogus. all just my opinion

TheFerg
WTF! I don't know how good this Barham fellow is, but seriously? Man, this sucks. (and fuck the haters)

mikewinger
this is really a shame. if any of you had even been to one of their shows, and i hope you had because they are really great live, you would know that nick is a really cool guy. after all their shows you could find nick just hanging out with all the fans. hell, he even remember who i was after i saw him in february.

TDWP_rules
i died see them live and it was cool i got to hang with all of attack attack and i do like nick as a person but as the person to take the place of austin carlisle he isnt the right person at all so im kinda glad that he left.

Attack Plans: Regarding Member Change Why hello boys and girls! Thought we'd throw you all a quick little update about what's currently going on in the AA! lineup. The band and Nick parted ways recently in a mutually agreed non-explosive fashion, which we all believe is the best for both sides. Caleb is going to retire his keys and start screaming in the front of the band. We DO NOT have a new person in our band. Don't worry, our music will still be full of Caleb's programming, keys, and all the good things he concocts. It will just be back-tracked live with the 808 samples and other nonsense on my iPod. Anyways, we're not gonna stop touring, playing shows, and having a great time

Gabe Saporta's Glamour Kills line debuts

Tim Karan on 10/20/09 @ 11:50 AM

Cobra Starship frontman/"hobosexual" Gabe Saporta debuts his new clothing line with Glamour Kills today. The line features brightly colored T-shirts, plaid button-ups, hoodies and more--all with a distinct similarity to the wardrobe Saporta sports himself.

The vocalist had this to say about starting Overnight Sensation: "I was sick of watching Glamour Kills jack my style and make a ton of money from it. So I told Marky [Capicotto, GK founder] that if he didn't cut me in on his profits, I'd call some people I know in Queens and have them rip off his toe nails one-by-one. Naturally, Marky was more than willing to negotiate with me. All kidding aside, the first time I met Mark was when GK and Cobra collaborated on a limited edition t-shirt (and if I'm not mistaken, I believe we were the first band to do such a collaboration). The shirt looked sick, the reaction to it was awesome, and it sold out instantly. Mark was great to work with because we definitely share a similar esthetic, and in the back of my mind, I hoped we'd be able to work together again when the time was right. That time is now. Glamour Kills, Gabe Saporta Saves!"

Here we go again with the stupid record labels who are blocking people from their content in all ways possible. If you look at where the video is suppose to be (the link above) you'll find that it's not there because they had to remove it per request by Warner music.

peaceandloverocksmysoul
You serious that sucks!!!!

ferocious_teddybears
Im upset that warnerbro. records (reprise) did this. I was really happy when I saw this then I went to the site and it said it had been removed. I agree with mfronmark. I saw the little 30 sec clip of it on itunes but it's so expensive. $1.99?? *sigh* I'll just wait and see what happens.
