Hear Oli Sykes channel ‘Suicide Season’ era vocals in new BMTH teaser

Bring Me The Horizon are still holed up together waiting out this coronavirus pandemic. And they’re still giving us plenty of video updates along the way. The most recent being Oli Sykes and Jordan Fish cooking up some filthy, guttural vocals combined with brashly morose lyrics.

Given this most recent video update, one might think that Bring Me The Horizon’s upcoming album will sound more like a Cannibal Corpse record than amoOnly time will tell though.

In mid-March, Bring Me The Horizon announced they were working on new material tagged for a release tentatively titled BMTH8.

The new release will be the first new material from them since dropping their Music To Listen To… EP back in December.

Initially, they revealed the new project with an Instagram post followed by one from Sykes himself. Filmmaker Brian Cox also made a post discussing their plans as he is documenting their process.

They’ve been consistently providing short clips of them working from a home studio since the initial announcement.

In addition to revealing the writing process of the new album, the gang has also taken the time to have a bit of fun by pranking Sykes’ mother Carol

Most recently, Bring Me The Horizon broke out the guttural screams for the new update.

The new clip shows Sykes messing around with some screams and sitting on the floor while Fish dabbles away at the computer. All of it is filmed by Brian Cox, who even adds a bit of creative lyrics to fuel the fire.

We see Sykes and Co. record some new, high-powered vocals, tell us that “The guttural is back. 2020 is the year of the guttural” and kiss a cute dog. Overall, they lay down some tight vocals and come up with the lyrics “Pass the flask ’cause I’m bathing in blood” which is metal as hell.

Check it out below.
