.Moneen. announce release date for new album

Melodic indie act .moneen. have announced the release date for their forthcoming LP, The World I Want to Leave Behind. The new record, which will be the band's fourth full-length, will drop September 15 on Vagrant Records.

According to Vagrant's website, .moneen. will be announcing fall tour dates shortly.

Megadeth stream first song from Endgame

Veteran metal act Megadeth are streaming the first song, "Head Crusher," off their upcoming album Endgame on Roadrunner Record's website. You can check out the track HERE. Endgame is scheduled to hit stores September 15.

Most Precious Blood premieres new song "Enthusiastic Eugenicist"

In an Issue Oriented Podcast, Justin Brannan of hardcore punk band Most Precious Blood premiered the song "Enthusiastic Eugenicist" from their upcoming record Do Not Resuscitate due later this year on Trustkill.

Brand New announce title, release date of new album

Enigmatic rock act Brand New have announced that their new album will be coming out Sept. 22 via Interscope Records, and will be called--wait for it--and one head can never die. And yes, the title is supposed to be all lowercase, according to the band's publicist. Why, we have no idea.

The quartet are currently on a small-club tour of the U.S., which plays Detroit tonight (dates).

John Nolan posts third fan collaboration

Head over to John Nolan's MySpace to check out his third song that he worked on with a fan. The song turned out differently than the first two. Nolan had the following explanation:

I've posted the 3rd fan collaboration song! This one came together a bit differently than the others. Nathan Jones sent me some music and I took a part of the beat he had made and the keyboards he played and looped them. I added a new chord progression that I played on the acoustic and the bass and played them over his loops. I also added some percussion and keyboards of my own. This one really kind of went in a different direction than his song had originally and it also went in a different direction than what I would've done without his music as the basis. It ended up being a really interesting collaboration. I hope you enjoy it.
