A Day To Remember's next video to be for "I'm Made Of Wax, Larry"

Tim Karan on 10/27/09 @ 3:33 PM

A Day To Remember guitarist Neil Westfall revealed in a recent interview that the band will be filming a video for "I'm Made Of Wax, Larry, What Are You Made Of?" when they return to Florida in November after their tour of Europe. Westfall also suggested that a video for "Have Faith In Me" will follow.

Westfall explained the choice of "I'm Made Of Wax, Larry" like this: "It's a song that has had one of the best reactions from the CD, and it stands out compared to the other songs on the album. I think we are going to do a video for 'Have Faith In Me,' and maybe one other song before the cycle is over; if we can fit it in. We didn't want to do a poppy song, so we wanted to switch and keep it real. We are A Day To Remember and we want to do what we want to do; we want to put out 'I'm Made Of Wax Larry...' because it's a harder song."

A Day To Remember released the deluxe version of Homesick today. Find out the stories behind every song on the album in our exclusive Track-By-Track feature with frontman Jeremy McKinnon.

Cold War Kids to release EP in January

Tim Karan on 10/26/09 @ 7:11 PM

Cold War Kids have revealed plans to release a four-song EP early next year. Behave Yourself will be released January 19.

The band had this to say about the upcoming EP: "As promised we will be releasing a 4 song EP called 'Behave Yourself' on January 19. We made a 1 minute video with our friend Vern to give you a preview of the songs and the video for 'Audience' that will come soon. We had a great time filming it in San Pedro; in our rehearsal space, skating on the docks, driving on the bluffs, shaving in the tide pools and being nude in a friend of a friend's bathroom. Thanks to O'Brien for letting us borrow the '71 Triumph. We are in the studio now writing and recording so we are only going to do 4 shows in January. We are going to find a way to make them special by giving a free recording of each show that you can dowload with ticket purchase. Hopefully. If we can figure out the technology. Enjoy!"

Never Shout Never to keep name

Tim Karan on 10/26/09 @ 5:34 PM

UPDATE
After some thought, Never Shout Never's Christofer Drew has decided to keep going by the band's name. Drew had blogged that he was thinking of releasing his upcoming full-length under his own name instead of NSN.

Drew wrote: "I did some deep thought and decided to keep nevershoutnever :)"

Original Post 10:09 a.m.
Christofer Drew, the artist behind Never Shout Never, is considering releasing the band's upcoming album under his name and not the NSN moniker. In a MySpace blog, Drew posted: "I need your opinion. I kinda want to release the album under "christofer drew". I feel like I have kinda grown out of '?nevershoutnever?!?' I mean I did come up with it when I was 15 ;p Nothing is final; i just want your valuable opinion friends :)"

If it's any indication, the NSN MySpace page now says, "Christofer Drew."
