Panic! At The Disco secure sophomore release date

According to Billboard.com, Las Vegas pop-punk quartet Panic! At The Disco have finally confirmed a specific release date for their highly anticipated sophomore record. The follow-up to 2005's platinum debut, A Fever You Can't Sweat Out, will drop on Mar. 25, 2008 via Decaydance/Fueled By Ramen Records. Rob Mathes, who worked with the band on the track "This Is Halloween" for the re-release of Tim Burton's "The Nightmare Before Christmas", produced the new LP.

P!ATD's Ryan Ross on the new record:
"We just wanted the record to sound like four people playing a song. A lot of the songs are definitely more geared toward playing live; we didn't think about that on the last record."
