The Bled cancel Canadian shows

Vagrant's post-metalcore unit the Bled have cancelled the remaining dates of their Canadian tour, in support of their latest release Silent Treatment. Alexisonfire, Anti-Flag and Saosin will continue on to complete the tour without them.

The band announced the news via Myspace blog:
Hey everyone. We're sorry to inform all of you that we are having to cancel the remaining dates of our tour with Alexisonfire, Anti-flag, and Saosin. In-between Winnepeg and Thunder Bay, our van had complications due to the freezing cold weather (the coldest weather us desert dudes have EVER experienced, clocking in at around -30° F). There was no way of getting the repairs done properly and in time to catch up with the tour. Thankfully, we had no serious accidents, injuries or anything driving through the icy mountains and roads.

We are sincerely bummed out that we won't be making the last week of the tour. Not only to those of you who were looking forward to seeing. us, but also to our good friends Alexisonfire, who invited us to be a part of the best shows we have ever had the chance to play in Canada.

The shows we did get to play were incredible. So thanks to those of you who were in attendance. Alexis are definitely one of our favorite bands to tour with musically and as people. So we hope that all of you with tickets to the upcoming shows still attend and support our friends.

As far as making up those dates, we will for sure be playing the Take Action! Tour dates in Montreal and Toronto with Every Time I Die, From First to Last, August Burns Red, and The Human Abstract. Hopefully those of you who are missing us on the Alexis tour can catch us then. PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD to those of you who know people expecting us to be at these cancelled shows.

Have a Happy Holidays.

See you pimps and players next year.

Much love, Darren, Jeremy, Mike, Ross, and James

Throwdown announce "The Scum OF The Earth" tour

Trustkill hardcore unit Throwdown have revealed dates for their upcoming "The Scum Of The Earth" tour. The tour, in support of their latest release Venom & Tears, is set to kick off on Mar. 3, 2008 in Dallas, TX. Along for the ride will be Soilwork, Through The Eyes Of The Dead and War Of Ages.

Throwdown frontman Dave Peters:
"We haven't headlined our own tour in a long time, which is exciting. The most rewarding thing about playing our songs live is interacting and communicating with the audience. And now that our new album has been out for a few months, the songs have had a chance to really sink in, and we're looking forward to seeing people's reactions to songs both new and old. We're also very stoked to be touring with Soilwork who are coming all the way over from Sweden. And with Through The Eyes of the Dead and War Of Ages onboard, it's a very strong and diverse bill."
