Claudio Sanchez (Coheed And Cambria) announces comic strip

Coheed And Cambria's frontman, Claudio Sanchez, has launched his inevitable comic strip titled Kill Audio.

The strip will debut as part of a collaborative graphic novel, PopGun, due this summer.

The strip is described as a "dark, comedic tale of a man growing annoyed with his own immortality."

Sanchez will also unveil a Kill Audio 7" vinyl toy (not a record) at the San Diego Comic Con July 24-27.

Solidarity Recordings forms, plans Honor System, Hanalei releases

Solidarity Recordings has started up out of San Diego / San Jose, CA and announced its first few releases.

The label will initially release only vinyl and digital material, a considerable portion of it in reissued form. It involves such notable past and present acts like the Honor System and Hanalei, while there are also tentative plans to reissue the two full-lengths from Chicago's defunct the Ghost on vinyl.

Distribution will be handled by Vinyl Collective and Suburban Home.

Planned releases for 2008/2009:
The Honor System - Single File 12" re-release
Hanalei / Like Claws - split 7"
Hanalei - We Are All Natural Disasters 12" re-release
Hanalei - Parts & Accessories 12" re-release
Wardogs - 7" (co-release with Asian Man Records)

Hit The Lights posts new song

Pop-punks Hit The Lights have posted a new song, "Drop The Girl," at their MySpace page.

The track is from their upcoming full-length, Skip School, Start Fights, which is due for release by Triple Crown on July 8, following up 2006's This Is A Stick Up...Don't Make It A Murder.
