Megadeth, In Flames, Children of Bodom, more on Gigantour 08

Scott Heisel on 1/3/08 @ 2:05 PM

The lineup and dates for the third annual Gigantour has been announced. As in its previous two years, Megadeth will headline; their supporting lineup this time around includes In Flames, Children Of Bodom, Job For A Cowboy and High On Fire.

"The breaking news is we are going to have five bands this year, instead of eight," says Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine in a statement. "The decision to drop it down from eight bands to five was based on timing, set lengths, stage sizes, unions, and most importantly allowing 'us' -- the musicians -- to deliver to 'you' -- the fans -- the best shows we can."

Dates will be posted soon.

Goldfinger post new song, possible summer tour plans?

Scott Heisel on 1/3/08 @ 12:12 AM

Long-running ska-punks Goldfinger have released the first song from their currently untitled sixth album and SideOneDummy debut. The track, titled "One More Time," can be streamed at the band's MySpace page.

While the album is without a title, the band have confirmed an April 29 release date. Regarding the band's summer touring plans, AP has heard rumblings of a co-headlining tour between the 'finger and Less Than Jake, with Big D And The Kids Table opening, however that should still be treated as rumor at this time.
