CIRCA SURVIVE RELEASE B-SIDE TO SUPPORT LOCAL RECORD STORE

Posted by Brian Shultz on 30-Jun-08 @ 01:30 PM

Circa Survive have released another B-side from 2007's On Letting Go (Equal Vision) in a second act of charity. While "1,000 Witnesses" originally supported the Invisible Children collective, this time the band is focusing its attention on a hometown record store: Doylestown, PA's Siren Records.

The store has been shut down due to zoning issues and is looking to move to another location, needing financial help in the process.

The song is called "The Most Dangerous Commercials" and can be acquired on a suggested donation basis (min. $0.99) here.

LIFE LONG TRAGEDY BREAKS UP

Posted by Brian Shultz on 30-Jun-08 @ 01:22 PM

California hardcore act Life Long Tragedy has broken up. The band gave no explanation or reasoning, nor mentioned whether or not they would still be playing Santa Barbara, CA's Sound and Fury Festival 2008 in what would seemingly be their last performance.

The band last released Runaways on Deathwish earlier this year. Their discography also included splits with Sabertooth Zombie (2007, Spiderghost Pressing) and Final Fight (2006, Deathwish), as well as their first full-length, Destined For Anything (2005, This Blessing, This Curse).
