Learn to drum with the drummer of Shadows Fall

Shadows Fall drummer Jason Bittner will be hosting a drum clinic May 6 at Durty Nellie's in Palatine, Illinois. Bittner will be on hand to play and provide instruction to up-and-coming drummers. The clinic starts at 7 p.m. and admission is $8. For more information, go here.

Anarbor to jump on the What Happens In Vegas tour

Anarbor had a few open dates this summer wedged between their tour with Forgive Durden and their stint on Warped Tour. Those dates are open no longer. Anarbor will play a handful of shows in late June and early July on the What Happens In Vegas Tour with the Cab and the Secret Handshake.

Green Day streaming new tracks

After debuting the tracks on Los Angeles and Boston radio stations, Green Day have now posted six tracks on their website from their forthcoming album 21st Century Breakdown.

Alkaline Trio leave Epic, plan to record new album this summer

At the Worcester, Massachusetts, stop of the band's current tour with Saves The Day on May 3, Alkaline Trio frontman Matt Skiba announced his band were no longer associated with Epic Records, the label responsible for releasing 2008's Agony & Irony.

"We're not on that record label anymore," Skiba said onstage. "We're starting our own label and we're gonna put out our own record and we're making it this summer."

A representative for Epic Records could not be reached. The band also debuted a new, currently untitled song; you can watch it below.

This isn't the first band to leave Epic Records this year; last month, Automatic Loveletter left the label.

Three Mile Pilot circle around for second pass

Indie rock band Three Mile Pilot, who have been on hiatus since 1998, have reunited and signed to Temporary Residence Ltd. Featuring bassist/vocalist Zach Smith (Pinback), guitarist/vocalist Pall Jenkins (the Black Heart Procession) and drummer Tom Zinser, Three Mile Pilot last released Another Desert, Another Sea in 1997. The band have recently played a string of shows in their hometown of San Diego, California, and are planning to tour the west coast this summer. TMP are planning to release a new full-length next year.
