Gossip Guy to star in Footloose remake

Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford has been tapped to play Kevin Bacon's infamous role in the upcoming remake of Footloose. Crawford replaces High School Musical star Zac Efron, who dropped out of the project this past spring. The film is slated for a 2010 release via Paramount.
