Andrew McMahon to be Stand Up To Cancer ambassador

Jack's Mannequin frontman Andrew McMahon will join
Stand Up To Cancer's team of celebrity ambassadors beginning in December. The SU2C initiative provides funds for cancer research and to date has raised more than $100 million. Ambassadors for the cause participate in fundraisers and serve as spokespeople to generate awareness. Other ambassadors include Kirsten Dunst, Mandy Moore and Sharon Osbourne.
McMahon was diagnosed with leukemia when he was 22.
Dear Jack, a documentary shot by McMahon himself chronicling his battle with cancer will be released by Sire Records on Nov. 3.
