Gorilla Biscuits to reunite for U.S. tour this August

Confirming rumors, Walter Schreifels fansite UnitedByWalter.com has confirmed that Schreifels' influential hardcore band Gorilla Biscuits will be reuniting for a comprehensive U.S. tour this August in support of the reissue of Start Today, out at the same time via Revelation Records. There is no confirmed word on who will be touring with the band, but AP has heard everything from Blacklisted to 7 Seconds. When supporting bands/dates are confirmed, we'll bring them to you.

GB was composed of quitarist/songwriter Schreifels (who went onto Quicksand, Rival Schools and Walking Concert), vocalist Anthony "Civ" Civocelli (later of CIV), bassist Arthur Smilios and drummer Sammy Siegler (later of Judge, Youth Of Today, Side By Side, Rival Schools and Glassjaw, and currently of Nightmare Of You). Siegler will not be playing with the band for the tour; former GB/Warzone/Judge drummer Luke Abbey (who also played last year's reunion show) will instead.

The band have reunited twice since breaking up in 1989; first in 1997 at CBGB's for a Raybeez benefit show, then in 2005 at the same venue as part of the Save CBGB's campaign. The latter show was filmed and will be included as a DVD with the Start Today reissue.
