Strike Anywhere sign to Bridge Nine, plan tour with Propagandhi

Richmond, Virgina-born political punk band Strike Anywhere have made yet another label switch in their decade-long career, this one to Boston hardcore label Bridge Nine Records. The band have previously released material on No Idea, Jade Tree and Fat Wreck Chords.

SA will begin recording their label debut, Iron Front, with producer Brian McTernan (Cave In, Engine Down) starting next week; the album is set for a September release. "There will be more of an expansion into both the melodic and heavier fast punk that are the foundations of our sound," says frontman Thomas Barnett of the new record. "The sound of the record may be a bit heavier and more noisy, a part of our darker, less optimistic side than say the folk influences and street punk jangle of Dead FM.  We have mad love for that record though, it's just time for the Iron Front and a return to roots and physicality."

After SA leave the studio, they will embark on a U.S./Canadian tour with Propagandhi; dates:
