Alkaline Trio drummer Derek Grant recently spoke with RGJ.com and informed them that the band have a number of projects currently on their plate.

After the completion of their current tour, the band plan on reissuing their 1998 debut, Goddamnit, with bonus tracks and other vintage materrial. There is no word at press time of what material this may be, when it will be released or if the reissue will take place via the band's current label, Vagrant, or their original label home, Asian Man.

Grant also mentioned that the band plan to spend the rest of the year writing for a new record. "[W]e'll be primarily writing for the next album most of the year," he told RGJ.com. "We want to be able to go into the studio at the end of the year, or early next year." It is presumed this album will come out via Vagrant in 2007.

Lastly, Grant said the band are beginning work on a retrospective DVD, and are filming parts of their current tour for inclusion. There is currently no word on a release date or label for this project, either.
