I Am Trying To Sue Your Heart

Ex-Wilco multi-instrumentalist Jay Bennett has filed a lawsuit against the band's frontman, Jeff Tweedy, over alleged unpaid royalties. Bennett is credited as a co-writer of many songs on Wilco's 1999 album Summerteeth and 2002's Yankee Hotel Foxtrot. After seven years in Wilco, he left the band in August 2001.

The lawsuit claims that although Bennett received royalties while he was in the band, he hasn't received adequate compensation since he departed and that he received nothing for the band's 2002 documentary, I Am Trying To Break Your Heart, in which Bennett is prominently featured.
