"Emo" fourth most "dangerous" word on the internet

British parental web control company Sentry has named "emo" among their "top 10 words every parent should fear."

Other words include such negative nancys as "alone," "depressed," "suicide" and "breasts."

By blocking words such as these, the company believes parents can "help keep their child safe from internet predators, exposure to inappropriate material or dangerous social networking groups."

Actually "Emo" is not "a term for hardcore that's emotional". Emo music is simply short for emotional, not hardcore emotional. not melodic emotional, not acoustic emotional, simply emotional. The Promise Ring, Texas Is The Reason, Sunny Day Real Estate, early Jimmy Eat World that is true Emo music.

Apparently emo is the new goth. Also, if your kid is searching for "depressed", maybe instead of blocking it, you should try to figure out why they're depressed and help them. Just a thought.

This is quite possibly the dumbest thing I've ever heard. What makes the word emo dangerous anyway? It's sad to see that so much ignorance and closed-mindedness still exists in our "progressive" world.
