Blink-182 reunite!

Blink-182 went on indefinite hiatus in 2005, leading to the formation of DeLonge's Angels & Airwaves and Hoppus and Barker's (+44). The new album will be the band's sixth full-length and their first since their self-titled 2003 album. For a more detailed history of the band, check out web editor Tim Karan's blog here.
UPDATED 10:17 P.M. EST: The band has concurrently posted a message at their website stating that they are currently in the studio writing and recording a record. "Summer 2009" is also mentioned, implying either a release of that record or perhaps a tour. The band also have new merch for sale.

"Hi. We're blink-182. This past week there've been a lot of questions about the current status of the band, and we wanted you to hear it straight from us. To put it simply, We're back. We mean, really back. Picking up where we left off and then some. In the studio writing and recording a new album. Preparing to tour the world yet again. Friendships reformed. 17 years deep in our legacy.

when i heard them officially confirm all the rumors, i started legit tearing up, screamed, and ran up & down my stairs in joy. then my mom got mad at me. hahah needlesstosay, i'm beyond ecstatic.
really? that's awesome, i haven't even watched them yet...it doesnt come on for 33 minutes (here in california at least, unless it was on earlier at another channel that i don't know about)

It makes me sick that THOSE were the nominees for best rock album! Of all of those I think I could understand Kings of Leon, they aren't too bad. But it's just more evidence that the Grammy's are a terrible representation of what is good in Rock.
As a huge Angels and Airwaves fan and a Blink fan...this excites me, but makes me nervous about the future of AVA.
It's sad that it took Travis nearly dying to get them talking again, but I'm so thrilled for the reunion. This makes the year.
