The Blood Brothers to record with Guy Picciotto of Fugazi

Seattle-based progressive hardcore quintet the Blood Brothers have announced via their MySpace blog that they will begin recording their fifth album on April 23 "in a secluded cave in the outskirts of Seattle" with the production team of John Goodmanson (Matchbook Romance, Sleater-Kinney) and Fugazi's Guy Picciotto. Picciotto is no stranger to the producer's chair; he's been behind the boards for albums from Blonde Redhead and the Gossip, among others.

The band are expected to complete recording before May 12, at which point they will be participating in London's annual All Tomorrow's Parties festival. They also have two more Seattle-area shows on their schedule, one pre-recording and one post-, the latter as a part of Seattle's annual Bumbershoot festival. The band also promised extensive touring after the album's release, presumably later this year. Dates:
