Paramore talk new album

Alternative Press - Brian Shultz on 12/30/08 @ 1:50 AM - altpress.com

Paramore recently spoke about the ideas being shuffled around for their next full-length.

Hayley Williams' "fragments" of lyrics seem to revolve around the "tumultuous" events of the past year while guitarist Josh Farro continues to hash out musical ideas of his own.

"I feel like we all kind of know what the Paramore sound is," said bassist Jeremy Davis, "but we're all experimenting and trying to figure out how far we can go with it but still keep it Paramore."

The band is planning on recording the album in Nashville and releasing it by summer 2009. They last released their breakout, Riot!, in 2007.

I personally have no problem with paramore the band but i really dont like their music. I think everybody really just liked them last year and this year simply based on the fact that the band had a chick for a lead singer. I decide whether or not I like the bands because of their music, not because of how awesome their lead singers hair is or how cool the word "RIOT" looks written on stuff. I thought their old stuff was okay but I just don't enjoy the sound of hayley williams voice(which by the way probably can't count cuz I literally can only tolerate 3 bands with chick lead singers, I just like the sound of guy singers more)and I cannot connect with the lyrics and the music is just ok.

The things I don't like about Paramore are the teeny bopper aspect, being linked with Twilight (another fad) and the Decode video, clearly copying or ripping off Evanescence.

If Paramore doesn't pull this next album off in a unique and unexpected way, I can't see them sticking around much longer. They need something original to keep them in people's mind, and Riot! isn't doing that anymore.

Hell yeah. One of my most anticpated records of 2009 for sure. Yeah I can totally see where you guys are coming from with the teeny bobber crap, but um if my memory serves me correctly it just seems like people tend to call bands sell outs if their record just so happends to go platnium, and be awesome at the same time. Yeah "RIOT!" does seem to be a fad with younger girls, and guys for that matter. But Paramore have grown, both in age and talent since All We Know is Falling. And copying Evanesance are you kidding me? Paramore are wayyyyy to ligit to go there. Now the bands you need to worry about are bands like The Maine. No offense to having them on 2009 AP tour (which Im going

to of corse) And I like The Maine dont get me wrong at all, but seriously (CSWS) sounds like a VERY watered down version of The Starting Line with out KV's awesomeness involved. I cant wait to see where Paramore go next, I'd bet a lifetime of show memorabilia that they blow your faces off.

i personally think that there is no specific kind of paramore sound because everyone knows that "All We Know is Falling" sounds different than "RIOT!" There new album will be the shit. -blackboi
