Thursday post first single off new album

New Jersey emotional post-hardcore pioneers Thursday have posted audio for "Counting 5-4-3-2-1," the first single from their upcoming album, A City By The Light Divided. The album was produced by Dave Fridmann (The Flaming Lips, Mogwai, Sleater-Kinney), and is the follow-up to 2003's War All The Time, which debuted at 7 on the Billboard Top 200. You can hear the song via the Island/Def Jam Media Player in both Windows Media and Real Audio formats.

The band are once again gearing up for massive touring in support of the forthcoming disc. On their agenda are a U.S. headlining tour with Minus The Bear; a Canadian stint on this year's Taste Of Chaos tour; appearances at Noise Pop and the Bamboozle; and a slot headlining this summer's Warped Tour.

The band are also playing AP's 100-percent free South By Southwest Party March 17 in Austin, Texas, alongside Ted Leo, Circa Survive, Head Automatica and many more.
