Myspace gets new look, stays 'true to its roots'
Everyone (AP included) started the day talking about last night's Emmys. But all that is pushed to the side with the news that Myspace–you remember Myspace right?–is doing a massive redesign. A swanky new video of the soon-to-be “new Myspace” can be found at new.myspace.com. From the looks of it, the former No. 1 social media site will stay true to its music background, but you can also expect an emphasis on pictures and videos. It also looks like you'll be able to find “connections” through your Facebook friends.
A message on new.myspace.com reads:
“We’re hard at work building the new Myspace, entirely from scratch. But we’re staying true to our roots in one important way—empowering people to express themselves however they want. So whether you’re a musician, photographer, filmmaker, designer or just a dedicated fan, we’d love for you to be a part of our brand new community.”
