Deb Landolt and band to unveil tracks from much anticipated new CD Friday November 20, at the Thirsty Ear in Columbus, Ohio. CD is scheduled for release January 9, 2010.

Columbus, Ohio October 31, 2009 Award-winning contemporary blues act Long Tall Deb and the Drifter Kings proudly announce their CD preview party on Friday, November 20 at the Thirsty Ear Tavern in Columbus, Ohio. Guests on this evening will be treated to a dynamic live performance in addition to being the first to hear tracks off the new recording and preorder the new CD.

Their long-awaited debut CD, entitled “Diamonds on the Desert Floor", is set to hit stores and online outlets on January 9, 2010. Producer Michael Hill of Michael Hill's Blues Mob, who has released three critically-acclaimed albums of his own on Alligator Records, worked very closely with the band to help craft fresh arrangements and overall ambiance for their all-original material.

The album is a tasty blend of gut bucket driving rhythm topped with the rich, honest and soulful vocals on the part of Deb Landolt aka “Long Tall Deb". Bassist Melvin Powe and drummer Doug Oscard deliver in-the-pocket rhythm to complement guitarist Richey B's work, from soulful solos to excellent slide work.

“What is particularly exciting about this record is that each song sounds different from the last and yet, the material seems to flow in a natural progression throughout." says Landolt.

The album will also likely crossover to listeners who would not normally classify themselves as blues lovers. What appeals is a carefully and quality-crafted effort that sounds fresh, new and exciting.

About Long, Tall Deb and the Drifter Kings Long Tall Deb and the Drifter Kings, winners of the 2009 River City Ohio Blues Challenge held by the Blues Jazz and Folk Music Society of Marietta, Ohio. blends an electrifying mix of contemporary edgy and traditional blues, soul and New Orleans style music with generous helpings of original material. Called one of the up and coming bands to watch for., they will enter the studio later this year to record their first CD with Michael Hill producing the project.

You're old.

Today I was in an online forum about good screamo/hard core bands. I don't listen to that kind of music, but I made up a band name and posted it. All the kids are going crazy because they've never heard of them. MLIA.

It doesn't hurt me.  You wanna feel how it feels?

You don't want to hurt me, but see how deep the bullet lies.
